Dear Member - November 14th, Winners

I love this time of year when we recognize people in our business community who have gone the extra mile. This includes many of the individuals, businesses, industries, and organizations that have made an impact. They have been ‘stand-outs’ in their professions, and they have added to the overall quality of the community. What’s really cool is that their driving force is an entrepreneurial spirit and that spirit is the backbone in a community. It’s that “spirit” that says, “Let’s try something different! Let’s find a new approach, and let’s find a way to make it better.” And then, they do just that.

That’s the attitude of a winner. Winners never stop learning. They are always looking for the next step and are focused on achieving a goal. For any business, individual, or organization to be nominated by a group of their peers is a huge compliment, especially when you consider that they are entrepreneurs themselves. It means your contributions are being recognized. You have made an impression, and you have made an impact. This Alymer Letterman quote defines a winner; “The most distinguishing feature of winners is their intensity of purpose.“

Congratulations to all of the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce membership and nominees as we celebrate this Thursday at the 67th Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet, “Setting Our Sights on 2020.”

Work hard, be productive, and, above all else, stay positive.
