Dear Member September 2, 2019 - Collaboration

Republish: August 22, 2016

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all work together? Leave our ego's behind and work collaboratively moving in the same direction? I go back to what I wrote about last week "15 Ways to Identify Bad Leaders" by Mike Myatt. I think there is one statement that rings so true and bears repeating: Beware of the leader that: It's all about them: If a leader doesn't understand the concept of "service above self" they will not gain the trust of those that follow. A leader can only be as good as his or her team allows. Over abundance of pride, ego and arrogance are not positive traits. Real leaders take the blame and give credit. Let me repeat, REAL LEADERS TAKE THE BLAME AND GIVE CREDIT.

Think about that for a minute. Look around and see where you might contribute your talents to the overall good of the community as a whole. Leave your ego at the door and don't be arrogant because there will always be someone smarter, better looking, more creative, more talented than you, and with a different opinion. So contribute what you can without regard for yourself to make the community a better place for all.

Work hard, be productive, and above all else, stay positive.
