Last week on Facebook someone shared my favorite TV commercial. It was the 1977 Super Bowl commercial with "mean Joe Greene" and Coca Cola.

I remember the very first time I saw that commercial and I've never forgotten the impact that it made on me. That commercial was released 32 years ago, and then another memorable commercial, about Apple, was released during the 1984 Super Bowl. These are classics and they surpassed any marketing and advertising ideology their brands could ever have conceived. That is marketing and advertising at it finest. They are still getting "impressions and engagement" on social media years after their initial impact. That's the power of good MARKETING.

Think of the strategies that go into the development of an advertisement. In today's world those strategies got even more complicated with social media. In 2017, Yankelouick Marketing Firm estimated that the average person was exposed to 5000 ads per day. How many ads do you recall, and what attracted you? These are all the questions marketing professionals deal with. You have to know the demographics, buying trends, and influencers in order to reach the targeted market...and that's only if you have successful identified the target.

How much strategy goes into making your ad stand out from the other 5,000 to 10,000 ads that have crossed in front of you on any given day? Those are some of the questions you have to ask as you promote your business. If you don't know all the answer, then the next question is how can you afford not to do any marketing.
